దేశంలో పేరొందిన టాటా ఇనిస్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ సోషల్ సైన్సెస్(టిస్)లో వచ్చే ఏడాది పీజీ కోర్సుల అడ్మిషన్లకు నోటిఫికేషన్​ విడుదలైంది. టిస్​లో పీజీ కోర్సుల అడ్మిషన్లకు నేషనల్ ఎంట్రన్స్ టెస్ట్-2021 నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఈ ఎంట్రన్స్​ ద్వారా టిస్ పరిధిలో ఉన్న ఇనిస్టిట్యూట్,స్కూల్స్ లో ఎంఏ, ఇతర పీజీ కోర్సుల్లో అడ్మిషన్లు కల్పిస్తారు. ఆసక్తి,అర్హత ఉన్న అభ్యర్థులు 2021 జనవరి 15లోగా ఆన్​లైన్​లో అప్లై చేసుకోవాలి. జనవరి 20 వ తేదీ లోగా పోస్టు ద్వారా పంపించే వీలుంది. ఈ ఎంట్రన్స్​ కంప్యూటర్ బేస్డ్ టెస్ట్. ఫిబ్రవరి 20 వ తేదీన దేశవ్యాప్తం గా వివిధ నగరాల్లో ఈ టెస్ట్ నిర్వహిస్తారు.

TISS NATIONAL ENTRANCE TEST (TISS-NET)

TISS ANNOUNCES Admission to the 2021-23 batch for it’s Full-Time (Regular) Post-Graduate Degree Programmes (M.A., M. Sc., M.H.A., M.P.H., LAW) offered from Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati, and Hyderabad campuses.

Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati and Hyderabad campuses have independent high quality faculty engaged in teaching, research, policy and outreach activities. The Tuljapur, Guwahati and Hyderabad campuses are networked with Mumbai campus to access library, online books and journals and classes. All campuses have unified campus placement policy and placement process.

Reservation:

As per Government of India norms, Mumbai, Tuljapur and Hyderabad Campuses provide 15%, 7.5% , 27% and 10% reservation to Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe, Other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer) and Economically Weaker Section(EWs) for each of the programmes. In addition, supernumerary seats are allocated to Persons With Disabilities (PWD) {5%} , Kashmiri migrants {5%} and Widows/Wards of the Armed Forces Employees {5%}.

As per agreement with Ministry of Development of North-East Region, Government of India, Guwahati Campus allots 66% of the seats to candidates from eight North Eastern States. The remaining 34% of the seats are for candidates from other parts of the country. For these seats (34%) same rules for reservation mentioned above for SC/ST/OBC(NC)/EWS and Supernumery categories are applicable .

Campus Preference:

TISS offers 50 Master’s Degree programmes from its Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati and Hyderabad campuses for the 2021-2023 batch. Candidates can apply for a maximum of three programmes across any of the two campuses indicating the order of preference. The merit list will be prepared based on the preferences given by the candidate in the application form.

National Entrance Test will take place at 40 different cities/towns across the country on February 20, 2020. Only short-listed candidates will receive call letters for the second round (TISS-PAT, TISS-MAT and OPI) to be held in the month of March/April 2021. The TISS-PAT/MAT will be conducted before the Online Personal Interview.

 Application Submission:

Candidates have to apply through the online application form only. Following are the steps involved in filling up the form

  • The candidate has to register with an emailid. The candidate will be sent a password which is to be used to login and fill the online form.
  • After login candidates have to fill in their basic details, academic details and have to mention the programmes they wish to apply for in the order of preference.
  • Pay the application fee (depending on number of programmes applied) either by depositing cash in any branch of SBI or through Credit card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking and
  • Scan and upload photograph, signature, marksheet of last exam passed and other necessary certificates.

Candidates having lack of access to internet services (remote area) can write to Mumbai campus for printed application form. They have to fill the application form and submit before last date of submission.

Candidates  can apply for multiple programmes and pay for all the programmes in one online form and should not fill more than one online form. If a candidate is found to have filled more than one form, all his/her applications will be cancelled.

National Entrance Test:

National Entrance Test (TISS-NET)  is computer based. It will be held on February 20, 2021 from 2 pm to 3.40 pm in 40 Cities (below mentioned) in different parts of the country.

TISS-NET Hall Ticket: Hall Ticket will be uploaded on TISS Website on February 05,2021 onwards , candidate can download their hall ticket from the TISS website. Those candidates who have not received their hall ticket till February 18,2021, can call TISS CARE : 022 – 2552 5252 OR may register their complaint by sending a mail to admissionsinfo@tiss.edu. Please note that candidates without an admit card won’t be allowed to attend the entrance test.
