ప్రపంచ యువజన నైపుణ్యాల దినోత్సవం (World Youth Skills Day):
ప్రతి సంవత్సరం జూలై 15న జరుపుకుంటారు. ఐక్యరాజ్యసమితి 2014లో ప్రకటించింది. 2025 థీమ్ – “కృత్రిమ మేధస్సు (AI) మరియు డిజిటల్ నైపుణ్యాల ద్వారా యువత సాధికారత”.
అంతర్జాతీయ న్యాయ దినోత్సవం (International Justice Day):
జూలై 17న జరుపుకుంటారు. ఇది 1998లో రోమ్ స్టాట్యూట్ ఆమోదించబడిన జ్ఞాపకార్థం. అంతర్జాతీయ క్రిమినల్ కోర్టు (ICC) తో అనుబంధం కలిగిన దినోత్సవం.
BRICS కూటమి:
2025 BRICS సమ్మిట్ బ్రెజిల్లో జరగనుంది. BRICSకి 2024లో ఇరాన్ కొత్త సభ్యదేశంగా చేరింది. BRICS దేశాల ఉమ్మడి బ్యాంక్ – న్యూ డెవలప్మెంట్ బ్యాంక్ (NDB).
QUAD కూటమి:
సభ్య దేశాలు – భారతదేశం, అమెరికా, జపాన్, ఆస్ట్రేలియా. చైనా సభ్య దేశం కాదు. ప్రధాన నినాదం “స్వేచ్ఛాయుత మరియు బహిరంగ ఇండో-పసిఫిక్”. 2025 సదస్సు ఆస్ట్రేలియాలో జరగనుంది.
నాటో (NATO):
1949లో స్థాపించబడింది. ప్రధాన కార్యాలయం బ్రస్సెల్స్, బెల్జియం. ఇటీవల (2024లో) స్వీడన్ కొత్త సభ్యదేశంగా చేరింది.
UNAIDS:
1996లో స్థాపించబడింది. HIV నిర్ధారణ, చికిత్స, నిరోధకత కోసం “90-90-90” లక్ష్యం.

జాతీయ వైద్యుల దినోత్సవం:
ప్రతి సంవత్సరం జూలై 1న జరుపుకుంటారు. డాక్టర్ బిధాన్ చంద్ర రాయ్ జన్మదినం మరియు వర్ధంతి సందర్భంగా నిర్వహిస్తారు. 1991 నుండి పాటిస్తున్నారు.
కార్గిల్ విజయ్ దివాస్:
జూలై 26న జరుపుకుంటారు. 1999లో జరిగిన కార్గిల్ యుద్ధంలో భారత సైన్యం చేపట్టిన ఆపరేషన్ – ఆపరేషన్ విజయ్, వైమానిక దళం ఆపరేషన్ – ఆపరేషన్ సఫేద్ సాగర్.
NCERT 8వ తరగతి కొత్త పాఠ్యపుస్తకం:
“Exploring Society: India and Beyond – Part 1” పేరుతో విడుదలైంది. ఇందులో బాబర్ను *“క్రూరమైన విజేత”*గా, ఔరంగజేబు పాలనలో జిజియాను తిరిగి విధించడాన్ని ప్రస్తావించారు.
జల్ జీవన్ మిషన్ (JJM):
2019లో ప్రారంభించారు. ప్రారంభంలో 3.23 కోట్ల కుటుంబాలకు నీటి కనెక్షన్లు ఉండగా, 2025 జూలై నాటికి 12.44 కోట్ల కుటుంబాలకు చేరాయి. లక్ష్యం – 2028 వరకు పొడిగించారు.

International Affairs
World Youth Skills Day:
Observed every year on July 15. It was declared by the United Nations in 2014. The theme for 2025 is “Empowering Youth through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Skills”.
International Justice Day:
Observed on July 17 every year, marking the adoption of the Rome Statute (1998). It is also known as International Criminal Justice Day.
BRICS Summit 2025:
The 2025 BRICS Summit will be hosted by Brazil. In 2024, Iran joined as the latest member. BRICS was founded in 2006 (initially BRIC). The common financial institution is the New Development Bank (NDB).
QUAD Alliance:
Members – India, USA, Japan, Australia. China is not a member. The key slogan is “Free and Open Indo-Pacific”. The QUAD Summit in 2025 will be hosted by Australia.
NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization):
Established in 1949 with headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Article 5 ensures collective defense. Recently, Sweden became the latest member (2024).
UNAIDS:
Established in 1996, its “90-90-90” target focuses on HIV diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
National Affairs
National Doctors’ Day:
Celebrated on July 1 every year to honor Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy (his birth and death anniversary). India has been observing it since 1991.
Kargil Vijay Diwas:
Observed on July 26, commemorating the 1999 Kargil War. The Army’s operation was called Operation Vijay, and the Indian Air Force operation was Operation Safed Sagar.
NCERT Class 8 New Textbook:
Titled “Exploring Society: India and Beyond – Part 1”. It describes Babur as a ruthless conqueror and mentions Aurangzeb’s re-imposition of Jizya tax.
Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM):
Launched in 2019. Initially, 3.23 crore households had tap water connections; as of July 2025, 12.44 crore households have received them. The scheme has been extended till 2028.

Padma Awards:
Instituted in 1954. Highest category is Padma Vibhushan. Nominations for 2026 closed on July 31, 2025.
PM Modi’s International Awards:

Science & Technology
Agni-5 Missile:
India is developing a new variant with bunker-buster capability. It can carry up to 8,000 kg payload and destroy enemy bases deep underground.
INS Nistar:
India’s first indigenously built Diving Support Vessel, commissioned into the Navy. Built by Hindustan Shipyard; 119.7 meters long.
Gaganyaan Mission:
India’s first crewed space mission by ISRO. Three astronauts will be sent to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) using LVM3. The humanoid robot is named Vyommitra. ISRO also plans to set up its own Space Station by 2035 and conduct a crewed lunar mission by 2040.
Akash Prime Missile System:
An indigenously developed Surface-to-Air defense missile by DRDO. Range up to 30 km, equipped with an indigenous RF seeker.
Pralay Missile:
Successfully tested in Odisha (July 2025). A solid-fuel, quasi-ballistic missile, developed by DRDO.
NISAR Satellite:
A joint mission by ISRO & NASA to monitor environmental changes, natural disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions.
Economy
India’s GDP:
The economy recorded 6.5% growth in 2024–25 and is projected to grow at 6.5% in 2025–26. Domestic consumption and investment are key growth drivers.
Per Capita Debt:
As of March 31, 2025, average debt per Indian is ₹1,32,059. Government’s interest payments projected at ₹12.76 lakh crore in 2025–26.
PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY):
To be launched on August 1, 2025. With an outlay of ₹99,446 crore, aims to create 3.5 crore jobs in 2 years.
PM Jan Aushadhi Scheme:
As of June 30, 2025, India has 16,912 Jan Aushadhi Kendras. The target is 25,000 by March 2027. Citizens have saved ₹38,000 crore on medicines through this scheme.
